The foundation of The Injectionist is rooted in entrepreneurship and long-standing exposure to business-building in Alberta. Nika Sanguellini grew up watching her father build one of Calgary’s largest renovation companies from the ground up, where business ownership and persistence were part of everyday life rather than an abstract goal. This early environment shaped a practical, execution-focused approach that would later define her work in aesthetics.

Her entry into the industry began in 2010 when her husband acquired the Laser Hair Centre. While studying communications in college, Nika joined the clinic initially in a temporary capacity. What began as a short-term role quickly became a long-term commitment as she became immersed in the clinical and client-facing side of aesthetic medicine.

Over time, the clinic evolved from a single laser-focused practice into a broader medical aesthetics business offering injectables, skin treatments, and advanced technologies. Expansion into a second location in Edmonton followed, establishing a multi-location practice that now serves patients across Alberta. Today, The Injectionist reflects this evolution as a clinic built through incremental growth, clinical expansion, and sustained demand for its approach to aesthetic care.
