Downtime for thread lifts will depend on the amount of threads used. Typically a full face treatment can have 7-10 days of downtime. Heal time for when the collagen is forming and the tissue is settling is up to 6 weeks, but will not be noticeable to the naked eye.
This treatment is done under local anesthetic, meaning a few pokes of lidocaine! We keep our clients completely comfortable so they focus less on the procedure and more on the lift.
The risks with threads are less than with Dermal Filler as besides the anesthetic, there is no injecting. Risks can include infection, so we prescribe a round of antibiotics as a precautionary measure post treatment. We also perform the treatment in a sterile environments and use sterile equipment and tools to ensure we lessen this chance. More common risks include bruising, swelling and puckering of the tissue. All of which resolve in 1-6 weeks typically.
This will also depend on the amount of threads used, and the age of the client. It is important to note that we will still age as time goes on. These results are known to last up to or past 24 months. Adding Dermal Filler in conjunction with the threads has been known to help the longevity of the lift and results.
The great option that Thread Lifts offer is that we lift the tissue and can give you back what you had x amount of years ago in terms of skin laxity and tissue lifting.
